In her effort to interrupt Thaddeus’ courtship of her sister, Lady Lavinia gets caught in the most compromising position, so of course, they are left with no choice but to wed. So their marriage of convenience becomes a bargain in bed to conceive an heir. Only when Lavinia pursues passion, Thaddeus is more than willing to comply.
In the 3rd installment of the Dukes of Hazard series, buttoned-up Thaddeus is the perfect Mr. Darcy to Lavinia’s Elizabeth. I love how sex positive it was – Lavinia unapologetically knew what she wanted and Thaddeus was so receptive and open to her opinions. Because they were so communicative, it was especially frustrating when they were not as open and communicative about their feelings as more developed between them, The family drama also got a little trying – the mother especially.
Overall, this was a sweet and funny book, it even had me laughing out loud at parts. I’ve been looking forward to Thaddeus’ story from the start of the series, and this didn’t disappoint!
